We are a pair of software developers doing independent work.
It's a pun! It makes sense once you study German and then study computer science in German. We highly recommend doing so.
For what it's worth, the literal translation is basement tomatoes. (Or cellar tomatoes if tomato cellars were a thing. Perhaps they should be.)
